Call for Stories
I am part of the ASIS&T Arts and Humanities Special Interest Group, and we are putting out a call for our Spring 2021 newsletter. Consider sending us something :)
The pandemic has impacted everything we do from work to lifestyle to art. Art, libraries and music institutions have been working at a different pace to incorporate new tech and tools to create unique and intimate experiences for experiencing or engaging patrons or fans with media. Post Malone created an intimate concert experience from his home, and many museums and galleries are embracing Virtual Reality for tours. We are interested in hearing your thoughts or experiences with how COVID-19 has impacted art, libraries and music. Have you started taking music lessons online, or have you been working on digital curation archives that have since gone live? Or getting online reference services from your library.
What are your thoughts about the future of embedding technology into art, libraries and music? Will museums and artists continue to create, and host extended audience experiences post-pandemic? Will physical books begin vanishing?
We want to know! Send your stories to firstname.lastname@example.org for the SIG-AH newsletter. Deadline is 8th January 2020.
